It basically functions like Microsoft Office, but better. You can use Writer like Word, it looks very very similar. You can also save as RTF or a word file if you need to use it on another computer, or send it to someone. Easy.

go to and download, it can also read and save as microsoft word formac (.doc)
It's ILLEGAL to do so. Try the free and legal OpenOffice.org ( ). It saves in Microsoft Word formats, although you have to remember tmicrosoft download cento check it off from the Save As dialog box.
Even if you did find a copy of Word on an illegal site, Windows does a Windows Genuine Advantage check that will take away your software license if it detects that you STOLE it (which is what you're doing). Be smart and download OpenOffice.
