I am having these nightmares about my old high school being attacked my terrorists trying to blow it up and the only one who is able to save everyone is me. Plus in the dream I still go to said HS even though I am in college. Could it be because it is close to the 10th anniversary of 9/11 Or is it something else?
The first thing you need to know about nightmares is that they exist to get your attention. Every dream you have is about you, and every person, place and thing in your dream is you. They are symbols that illustrate the way you think, what do nightmares mean how you approach life, qualities you possess, etc. Dreams are messages to you that give feedback as to what you have done in your waking hours prior to having the dream. Therefore, when the dream messages go unheard and you truly need to heed them, your mind will speak loud and clear, giving you a nightmare that you will remember. If that nightmare carries the one message you really need, it can continue through the night even if you wake and return to sleep. Nightmares continue as long as you repeat the same fear-based imaginative wawhat do nightmares meany of doing things. Interpreting the meaning of the dream, and applying the message, makes it stop.

It could be because 9/11 is coming up. To some people, dreams are only dreams. For other people, dreams mean much more, like seeing the future or premonitions. Dreams can be affected by what you watch, eat, do or think.
